Jujuy, Argentina

“In my top 3 adventure rides … ever”, this is how the legend of the mountain bike Hans Rey defines this trail. With a great diversity of landscapes, from the arid landscape of the Quebrada de Humahuaca to the exuberant Yungas forest along pre-Hispanic trails.

Throughout 4 days, we traveled through ancient paths of exchange and transhumance, exceeding 4200 masl and leaving behind the colorful hills of the Quebrada to enter the Yungas jungle. During the way we will see posts, and houses where their inhabitants are dedicated to raising animals.

You will have the opportunity to know the culture of the north of Argentina and be prepared to spend the night in shelters, for long walks carrying your bike and your belongings, skills in the handling of the bicycle in narrow paths with loose stones, mud, roots, and exposure. But all this is rewarded by panoramic views that will take your breath away and the feeling of having overcome a challenge. The adventure is real

The other 2 nights of the trip are in mountain huts where the facilities are very different, there are shared accommodation (maximum 10 people), we sleep in sleeping bags and the guides take care of all meals.

RIDING

Many of the trails we traveled were not created to ride a bike, in fact the creators who made them, didn’t know the wheel.
However, we crossed one of the best trails of Enduro in the north of Argentina.
Technical / physical level is a MEDIUM – ADVANCED trip and requires Enduro bike experience, the 60 km of trail have an infinite variety of natural obstacles. The accumulation of days, hours on the bicycle, height and climatic factors generate a huge physical wear.
We recommend to be in good physical condition.
